Uses for the Pondmaster AP-40 Air Pump include oxygenating ponds and aquariums for a cleaner aquatic environment, promoting healthier fish and aquatic plant life, increasing the breakdown of fish waste, driving protein skimmers, and preventing icing-over in outdoor ponds. This pump operates on standard 110V electric and comes with a 6 foot grounded power cord. They have been designed to operate efficiently with a motor that is non-oil lubricated. For outdoor applications, it is recommended that the water-resistant ABS plastic unit be enclosed with allowance for air circulation to protect it from the elements.
